The
design-conscious business traveller will welcome the arrival of a series
of hotels that matches the label on their suit, sunglasses and luggage.
Italian designer, Giorgio Armani is teaming up with a Dubai-based
company to build a series of hotels in the world’s business capitals.
The company says it will open ten hotels in seven years in cities
including Milan, London, Dubai, Paris, New York and Tokyo. There are
also plans for four luxury resorts to be opened.
The hotels will be designed by Armani, which has recently expanded its
product range to include home products that will no doubt feature in the
properties.
Another Italian designer, Bulgari will also shortly make its foray into
the hotel industry. The company is due to open a hotel in Italy’s
fashion capital, Milan in May. The Italian jeweller is also planning to
open a second hotel, in association with Marriott International, in
Bali.
The Bali hotel is scheduled to open next summer and will comprise a
series of villas overlooking the sea. The hotel will have a spa, private
beach, two restaurants, meeting rooms and, of course, a Bulgari shop.
